Organizing various types of workcamps toward Colorful & Healthy World.

Organized 6,539 workcamps & exchanged 84,561 volunteers in 33 years.

Working on Environment/ Development/ Culture/ Education/ Human Rights.

 

Aims and goals of NICE:

  • To improve the social & environmental situation by direct actions!
  • To empower NPOs/ local communities and raise awareness & actions!
  • Promote global friendship/ cooperation and personal growth!

 

Very short term workcamps (VTSV) – 

Duration is for less than a week (1-6 days) for 18-99 year olds.

  • Oi 38 in Tokushima about agriculture, culture and manual work 13. – 17.10
  • Oi 39 in Tokushima about agriculture, culture and manual work 20. – 24.10
  • Oi 40 in Tokushima about agriculture, culture and manual work 27.10 – 1.11
  • Oi 41 in Tokushima about agriculture, culture and manual work 3. – 7.11
  • Oi 42 in Tokushima about agriculture, culture and manual work 10. – 14.11
  • Oi 43 in Tokushima about agriculture, culture and manual work 17. – 21.11
  • Oi 44 in Tokushima about agriculture, culture and manual work 24. – 28.11

Short Term Workcamps (STV) – 

STV is a voluntary service project which duration is from 1 week to 1 month (7-31 days).

  • Misato in Shimane 9. – 22.10 Supporting a local festival related to Shintoism to activate local people and to hand over traditions to the next generation!
  • Maki & Tateya 5 in Nagano 16. – 24.10 Organic farming and nature life in the beautiful and traditional mountain communities in Japan. No road for cars, the only way to reach there is by walking for 1.5 hours!
  • Yumefukuro in Kumamoto 17. – 30.11 Let’s stop climate change through the carbon offset and bamboo charcoal and enjoy nice exchange with local students and people!
  • Erabu in Kagoshima 1. – 20.12 Working in the flower farms of the southern island. Vols. need to speak very good Japanese!

Requirements:

NICE also offers projects outside of Japan!

NICE volunteers fee –  need to pay this fee beforehand (6,000 JPY for VSTV/ STV, 12,000 JPY per month for LMTV) by 31 days before Project start.

Volunteers will need a Visa!
