Organized 6,539 workcamps & exchanged 84,561 volunteers in 33 years.

Working on Environment/ Development/ Culture/ Education/ Human Rights.

 

Aims and goals of NICE:

STV is a voluntary service project which duration is from 1 week to 1 month (7-31 days).

  • Maki & Tateya 3 in Nagano 5. – 16.06 – Organic farming and nature life in the beautiful and traditional mountain communities in Japan. No road for cars, the only way to reach there is by walking for 1.5 hours!
  • Shirakami 3 in Aomori 14 – 24.06 – Let’s preserve the beautiful forests in the World Natural Heritage!
  • Tanabe in Wakayama 15. – 25.06 – Let’s preserve the beautiful forests in the World Natural Heritage!
  • Ohara in Fukui 25. – 31.07 – International FAMILY work camp in the mountain village of great nature and beautiful houses! Meaningful work, super clean water, and the Dinosaur Museum are waiting!!
  • Tsuga GR in Shimane 25.07 – 1.08 – Harvesting the traditional pumpkin and enjoying the local lifestyle!
  • Ozuchi GR in Ishikawa 29.07 – 5.08 – Revive the countryside and beautiful village by maintenance of the forests and fields. You can enjoy very beautiful nature and traditional Japanese culture!

  • Kumano in Mie 2. – 12.08 – Revitalize the depopulated village through working and interacting with local people!
  • Oi GR in Tokushima 5. – 11.08 – Supporting a village next to Kakurin-ji temple with agriculture and revitalization of the community!
  • Akame 2 in Mie 9. – 19.08 – Working in SATOYAMA forest and helping organizing a kids’ camp!
  • Ogi in Niigata 10. – 28.08 – Cutting bushes in the forest, Making Soba noodles, Japanese drum festival on the beautiful island!
  • Ozuchi 3 in Ishikawa 17. – 30.08 – Revive the countryside and beautiful village by maintenance of the forests and fields. You can enjoy very beautiful nature and traditional Japanese culture!
  • Nishiwaga in Iwate 20. – 29.08 Let’s be of help to the local elderly farmers in a beautiful countryside in Japan! After working, you can also enjoy a relaxing time in natural hot spring.
  • Shintoku in Hokkaido 28.08 – 10.09 Organic farming in the wonderful community with challenged people in beautiful nature. They have got the best prize in the mountain cheese contest in the world!
  • Tondabayashi in Osaka 5. – 12.09 Maintain SATOYAMA forest to keep biodiversity and encourage sustainable life!
  • Kamimamakuchi in Ishikawa 6. – 17.09 Painting the long fences, restoration of work roads, planning and managing exchange events. You can make Kamimamakuchi village encourage!
  • Azumino in Nagano 8. – 15.09 First international workcamp of this place to support the artistic event of mentally challenged people together with the local people and the artists in the very beautiful nature of the mountain area!
  • Ozuchi 4 in Ishikawa 11. – 24.09 Revive the countryside and beautiful village by maintenance of the forests and fields. You can enjoy very beautiful nature and traditional Japanese culture!
  • Misato in Shimane 9. – 22.10 Supporting a local festival related to Shintoism to activate local people and to hand over traditions to the next generation!

NICE volunteers fee –  need to pay this fee beforehand (6,000 JPY for VSTV/ STV, 12,000 JPY per month for LMTV) by 31 days before Project start.

Volunteers will need a Visa!
