De Amicitia is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help manage our volunteer house in Sanet y Negrals, Alicante. This is a great opportunity to participate in the general maintenance of the house, suggest improvements, welcome volunteers from different projects, and engage in both manual and organizational tasks. It’s the perfect way to develop leadership and teamwork skills!

We are looking for flexible, decisive individuals who are eager to lead. A driver’s license and basic knowledge of Spanish are highly valued.

ABOUT THE WORK

We are always working on and taking care of our volunteer house for the workcamp season and diferents activities and your job will be general maintenance to welcome volunteers from the different projects. You are going to be part of a group of people whose main objective will be to keep the house in
good condition, suggest improvements and make sure they are carried out, as well as participate in the projects that take place in the house, among others. It is mostly manual work but also organizational. This is the best opportunity to develop your leadership skills.

The volunteers will have an opportunity to live together in a group of people of different nationalities, so they can learn many interesting things from each other, cook together, raise their level of cultural tolerance and practice English and
Spanish. In addition, it’s a great experience to work in a team, especially in an international one. It’s a project where you can show all your resolution capacity, creativity, and make some core memories! Being with the local community, the
volunteers will have a chance to learn about Spanish culture. We are looking for volunteers who are decisive and willing to lead a group, develop her/his entrepreneurship skills, taking initiative and intercultural skills, to do manual and organizational work. You need to be flexible and empathetic and also open to get to know new people from new cultures. Driver’s license and basic Spanish will be highly valued.

 

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD

The volunteers will stay in a volunteer house, with four rooms with several bunk beds and bathrooms. They will share rooms with possible participants of diffrents projects. The house includes a nice kitchen in which the volunteers will cook for
themselves so bring some reciepts from your country. Food expenses are covered by De Amicitia. Sheets and pillows are available but you need to bring your sleeping bags (check with the organizer).

 

DOCUMENTATION

Due to the fact that this is a ESC Project you will have to comply with several documents to be able to participate in it and recieve your pocket money (5,00 € per day) and travel expenses 275 € for those coming from other EU countries (Depends on the country ask to the organizer
