EstYES has been part of Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations network since 1997. It is an international non-governmental organization which represents national voluntary service organizations across the world that promote intercultural understanding, peace, democratic participation and equality, in the spirit of respect for universal human rights.
The Technical Meeting of the Alliance is the main event of the network at which members, and many invited partners, meet to exchange and discuss the programs for the forthcoming season. Each year the Technical Meeting is hosted by a different member organization. This time, after not being able to meet since 2020 we had the opportunity in EstYES to host the Technical Meeting right here in Estonia with 76 participants from 26 countries representing 38 different Alliance member and partner organizations.
In the opening ceremony we were honored to welcome MTÜ Mondo and Let’s Do It World! (World Cleanup Day) to share with us their expertise and activities in humanitarian action and fighting the climate crisis. The following 4 working days were filled with meetings between the organizations’ representatives as well as workshops to exchange best practices and focus on capacity building activities within the network.
