We have an exciting last-minute opportunity for young activists to join us as volunteers for the Youth Climate Meeting (YCM) 2024.

The Youth Climate Meeting is an annual event, now in its sixth edition, organized by Legambiente that brings together activists from all over Italy to discuss and learn about critical issues such as climate justice, environmental migrations, sustainable food systems, energy transition, eco-feminism, anti-speciesism, and eco-anxiety. This year, the meeting will take place from June 20th to June 23rd in the beautiful setting of Paestum.

In support of this event, a work camp will be held from June 17 to 24.

  • Dates: June 17th to June 24th, 2024
  • Location: Paestum, Italy
  • Activities: Approximately 8 hours per day, with shifts varying between morning/afternoon or evening.
  • Accomodation and food: you will sleep in shared bungalows in the campsite
  • Benefits: Free participation, partial travel reimbursement, and free time to join debates, workshops, or enjoy the beach.
  • Requirements: Volunteers must speak a little Italian

WORK DESCRIPTION:

  • Logistics Management: Help with the setup and breakdown of event structures, manage waste, and ensure cleanliness of the event areas.
  • Meal Distribution: Assist with catering services and ensure all participants receive their meals.
  • Participant Assistance: Aid guests with check-in, provide information about the event and activities, and assist with any inquiries.
  • Technical Support: For those with IT skills, support our technical team with audiovisual equipment and other devices during presentations.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from participants to improve future events.

We are looking for passionate volunteers who can speak some Italian and are eager to make a difference. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an inspiring event and contribute to meaningful discussions on sustainability and climate action.
