The Work Camps is set in the middle of the valley of Dehradun, called the city of Love surrounded with he majestic Himalayas. The Campsite is a boarding school called the Dehradun Hills Academy- 20 minutes away from the town. The volunteers will work on subjects related to yoga, organic farming, environment conservation, cultural exchange and lake conservation and also learn the rich culture and traditions of the River Ganga at Rishikesh- a town of Ashrams.
This year, SCI India has slightly drifted away from the old and traditional theme of organizing workcamps related to construction of school walls, formation of a play ground and painting schools. We decided to dive deeper into core issues that we are fighting in our everyday life. I request you to kindly promote this Work Camp and also would be grateful if you could promote our camp on your Social Media platforms.
This project is part of the SCI North South Programmes. Volunteers should be 20 years old, have previous volunteering experience and take part in the Preparation Workshops organised by their sending branch. More details from your sending branch.
