It is a pleasure to announce our new Hong Kong workcamp in the coming winter (4 – 9 December 2024) and this project is called  “Cultural Exchange & Temple Volunteers (VTWC 24-12)”.
It is a unique opportunity for your participants to engage with the local community. Campers will have the chance to share their culture with students at a local secondary school, participate in temple volunteer work, and join the RunOurCity Streetathon as part of the Marathon Cheering Team.
Get ready to experience the heart of Hong Kong with the Community & Culture Workcamp! This unique program offers an incredible opportunity to share your culture with local students at a secondary school, where you’ll lead games and
activities from your home country, fostering cross-cultural connections.
As a volunteer, you’ll also contribute to meaningful volunteer work at a local temple, immersing yourself in Hong Kong’s rich cultural heritage while supporting the community. Additionally, you’ll join the Marathon Cheering Team for the iconic RunOurCity Streetathon, adding your energy to one of the city’s most exciting events.
Highlighted Activities:
  1. Temple Volunteer: Make an impact by joining a renovation project at a local temple, helping to improve living spaces while gaining insights into the real needs of Hong Kong’s communities.
  2. Cultural Exchange with students: Share your traditions with local students by leading fun games or cultural activities from your home country during a cultural exchange at a local secondary school.
  3. City Hunt Mission Challenge: Discover Hong Kong together with locals with our Mission Chalenge, where you’ll explore the city, experience its rich heritage, and connect with the community.
  4. Be a Cheering Team for the Marathon: Be part of the action! Play a key supporting role in Hong Kong’s energetic RunOurCity STREETATHON, where you’ll cheer on runners and experience the city’s vibrant sports culture.
