About the PROJECT

The Seminar “Local participatory approaches: youth policies & dialogue!”, organized by Equação, Cooperativa de Comércio Justo, Crl (Equação), aims to share policies, tools and approaches to support youth workers and youth leaders in encouraging young people to participate more actively at local level and support the development of their communities.

This project tackles mainly the following strategic objective:

LOCAL PARTICIPATION – support initiatives by young people who intend to transform their way of being and being in society. We intend to stimulate and support initiatives that lead to a more active participation of young people in decision-making processes that affect their community and that can be decisive for their quality of life as producers, consumers, activists, or citizens attentive to decision-making processes and the functioning of democratic life.

This participation should allow closer and more sustained cooperation between different actors in society: citizens, organizations, companies, and the public sector (for example, through the creation of informal groups of young people or local action groups and the support to structured dialogue initiatives with local authorities).

 

HOW to reach us

Amarante is located around 60 km away from Porto. Which means the easiest way for you to reach us is by travelling to Porto’s Airport (OPO).

From there we will arrange your transport to Amarante.

If possible, try to find a greener way to travel to/from Amarante. We have extra budget for GREEN TRAVELS 😉
