Are you between 18 and 30 and want to take part in an intercultural adventure? To meet other European youngsters? Discover and share the actively involved life of people from here or there. Build together a space for exchange & creativity. Explore a mountainous and forested region. Then, come and take part in this project with your desires and your creativity!
This action research, using a variety of tools (participatory workshops, debates, etc.), will lead to encounters and awareness-raising to understand people’s commitment to their local community and, in turn, will prompt the volunteers to question the commitment that they experience in their lives (their own, that of those around them, the causes that motivate them to join forces, etc.).
This project aims to :
- observe and learn to understand the elements that make up a natural environment, through the discovery of this rural Alsatian territory
- co-create a space for exchange and debate on our commitments and our relationship with our territory and our environment
- organize themselves collectively to create an interactive and intercultural museum, to promote, to share and to disseminate their common discoveries, from local to global.
Session 1 / LEARN :
- meeting (interview, walk, international meal, etc.) local people involved in this rural world
- recognising natural elements (trees, birds, edible plants and different species of flowers/plants, the forest ecosystem, etc.)
- bivouac (improvised mobile camp)
Session 2 / CREATE :
- create and promote articles, photos, podcasts, videos, etc.
- collect symbolic objects that tell a story
Session 3 / SHARE :
- create an ephemeral museum with local people about their involvement in this rural area and the experiences of the volunteers
- organize a visit to the temporary museum and communicate about it
Practicals information:
For who? Youth from 18 to 30 years old from France, Estonia, Spain and Belgium
When? From 05 to 20 August 2024
Where? At Fouday – 67130 (Alsace in France)
Accommodation and food? Accommodation in a collective house with other volunteers. Meals will be provided and cooked by the participants in turn. We give priority to vegetarian dishes.
Costs? No participation fee -Travel costs will be partially covered according to the Erasmus+ calculator
More precisely, you will live in a community and will have the opportunity to participate in the organization of our collective adventure: everyday life, cooking great meals, proposing or/and playing games, organizing our free time… You will be assisted by two French facilitators during the project & leaders from your country.
For 2 weeks, through all these diverse activities, built in the spirit of non-formal education, we will have the opportunity to build together a diverse and collective vision of living and doing together! Join the adventure!
With the watchwords learn, create and share, different activities will be organised:
- meetings,
- participative games
- workshops (spontaneous, friendly, organised, etc.) with committed local workers & local people and youngsters involved in this rural world (organised interviews, walks, shared moments, international meals, etc.)
