Training Course: EU and Me – Youth Empowerment and Leadership in Action
Are you interested in understanding how young people can shape the future of Europe? How youth workers and youth leaders can create meaningful change in their communities? This training course provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools to take action confidently, both locally and internationally.
Training Objectives
This training is designed for youth workers, youth leaders, and active volunteers who want to develop their leadership and project management skills while gaining a deeper understanding of EU youth programs. Participants will explore Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, learn how to apply the EU Youth Goals in local projects, and enhance their communication and teamwork skills. The course also focuses on inclusion, diversity, and sustainability to ensure youth work is accessible to everyone and environmentally responsible.
Training Content
- Opportunities in EU youth programs: Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, Youthpass
- Practical application of EU Youth Goals at the local level
- Leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Building confidence and public speaking abilities
- Inclusion and diversity principles in youth work
- Creating and implementing environmentally friendly youth projects
Location & Accommodation
The training will take place from April 8–16 in Gołanice, Poland, a village located about 10 km from Leszno. Participants will be accommodated at Camp 5G, in double and triple rooms with private bathrooms. Rooms are equipped with towels and hairdryers.
Accommodation and meals are fully covered by the project. The daily schedule includes:
- Breakfast: 07:30–09:30
- Lunch and dinner: Provided by the organizers
Participant Requirements
Participants will be selected in collaboration with partner organizations, with four representatives per organization. Eligible candidates should:
- Be 18–25 years old
- Be youth workers, mentors, active volunteers, or former ESC participants
- Be eager to develop their skills and actively contribute at local and international levels
We particularly encourage those with less experience to apply—this training is designed for those who are just starting their journey.
Travel Reimbursement
Travel costs will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance band rules:
- 10–99 km: €28 (€56 for green travel)
- 100–499 km: €211 (€285 for green travel)
- 500–1999 km: €309 (€417 for green travel)
- 2000–2999 km: €395 (€535 for green travel)
Additionally, there will be a shuttle bus from Leszno to Gołanice and back, costing €20 per participant, which will be deducted from the travel reimbursement.
Arrival & Departure
- Arrival: Participants should arrive in Leszno on April 8 by 20:00, where a shuttle bus will take them to the training venue.
- Departure: Participants should plan to leave Leszno on April 16 no earlier than 09:00, to ensure smooth transportation back.
All participants must have travel insurance valid for the entire training duration.
