Concordia Normandie Maine is looking for 1 or 2 facilitators for a Youth Exchange Concordia, founded in 1950, is a volunteering organization, working with the principles of non formal education. We promote values of engagement, intercultural dialogue and exchanges, citizenship, through various local and international programs.
The Normandy-Maine delegation, based in Le Mans, has 25 years of experience in the implementation of international, intercultural and intergenerational projects, dealing with current societal themes.
AN ERASMUS + YOUTH EXCHANGE
The Youth Exchange (YE) is funded under the Erasmus+ programme. This YE lasts 10 days (plus 2 travel days) and will bring together 25 people (20 young participants + 5 team leaders). It is not a training nor a conference or a seminar, a
Youth Exchange is a more relaxed, less formal activity. The programme is flexible and will adapt with the participants’ own experiences and ideas.
The theme of this YE is climate change, green transition, climate advocacy. We will be hosted by a wonderful venue, in the middle of nature, in Louverné, in the West of France.
THE FACILITATOR ROLE
Facilitators will be in charge of coordinating the facilitation of sessions (together with the team leaders) and to facilitate sessions on the themes of climate change, green transition, environment in general. They will be in charge of proposing non formal education tools to the group (debates, games, tools…) on the said themes.
They will be able to co facilitate with the team leaders and the young participants. They will also participate in the construction of the programme, before the start of the project, together with Pauline, staff member of Concordia Normandie Maine (in charge of the coordination, communication and logistics).
SKILLS
● Good knowledge on the current climate change issues
● Facilitating experience / Non formal education experience – having already participated/led a Youth Exchange would be great!
● English speaking skills (not necessarily French, but it is a plus!)
● Drivers license appreciated
COMPENSATION
● Paid contract (under French law) or Freelance invoice
● Length : 15 days (10 YE days + 2 travel days + 2 preparation days + 1 evaluation day)
● Transportation can be covered
