Introduction
Lääne-Harju Huvikeskus is a public youth centre located in the north-western part of Estonia. The organisation coordinates the work of seven youth rooms based in different villages. Young people aged 7-26 are welcome to join our wide range of leisure activities organised by our permanent staff or initiate their own projects. Our youth workers provide support and guidance. Our core values are inclusion, cultural diversity and promotion of non-formal education. We are looking for two volunteers to join our team for 8 months.
The main activities of the youth centre are:
– developing, coordinating and promoting leisure activities for youth people;
– creating possibilities for youth initiavies, free self-expression and creativity;
– empowering young people to participate in work camps thus developing working culture and promoting employability.
Location
The volunteers will be housed in a shared flat in a small town in Keila which is located near Tallinn. There is a good bus and train connection between villages in the area as well as with the capital.
Work tasks
– Helping our youth workers plan and host various events and activities.
– Support young people in their initatives.
– Promote youth activities and Erasmus+ programme.

We employ a team of committed and professional youth workers in our county who are willing to support the personal development of the volunteer during their stay with whatever is necessary. We provide emotional support, coaching and help with adjusting and designing the ESC experience.
