Introduction
Mondo NGO is an Estonian non-governmental organisation working in the field of international development cooperation, humanitarian aid, and global education. Founded in 2007, Mondo aims to reduce global inequality and support communities in vulnerable situations through long-term partnerships and sustainable solutions.
Mondo operates both in Estonia and internationally, with active projects in countries such as Ukraine, Uganda, Kenya, and Ghana. Its work focuses on improving access to education, supporting livelihoods, promoting environmental sustainability, and strengthening community resilience.
The organisation is also actively involved in humanitarian response, particularly in crisis situations, by providing support to affected communities and coordinating volunteer-based initiatives. At the same time, Mondo raises awareness in Estonia about global challenges, encouraging solidarity, responsible consumption, and active citizenship.
This European Solidarity Corps project offers an opportunity to contribute to international humanitarian aid and development cooperation through supporting the work of Mondo and its global partners.
The volunteer will support projects related to the deployment of humanitarian aid volunteers to Mondo’s partner countries, assisting the team throughout the full volunteer cycle—from recruitment to deployment and follow-up. Their tasks will include communicating with candidates, organising and supporting interviews, and helping prepare materials and content for pre-departure trainings, as well as assisting during training activities.
They will also support communication with volunteers in the field, contribute to reporting and documentation, and assist in organising evaluation and feedback processes. In addition, the volunteer will contribute to the preparation of capacity-building activities for partner organisations, including creating training materials on topics such as digital skills, environmental sustainability, and women’s empowerment.
The volunteer may also contribute to outreach and dissemination by supporting events, sharing ideas, and helping create communication content.
The project focuses on strengthening cooperation with partner organisations in countries such as Uganda, Kenya, and Ghana, while also contributing to local activities and awareness-raising in Estonia. The volunteer will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, gaining hands-on experience in international project coordination and capacity-building initiatives.
