About the hosting organisation
Service Civil International (SCI) is an international volunteer organisation with more than 100 partners all over the world. Its goals are to promote peace, international understanding and solidarity, social justice, sustainable development and respect for the environment. SCI believes that all people can live together in mutual respect and without the use of any form of violence to resolve conflicts.
Why SCI workcamps?
In cooperation with social, ecological, cultural and anti-racist projects, we organise around 25 international workcamps in Germany every year. Volunteering at an SCI workcamp is a unique form of engagement in which people from different countries and backgrounds live together for two or three weeks to support a local project in its work.
About the project
From end of May to September 2025, SCI Germany is looking for two volunteers who are well motivated to get to know our work and to coordinate 3-4 international workcamps in different locations. Our workcamps support local projects on nature and climate protection, on social work, for children and young people, of memorial sites or in the cultural field.
Your voluntary service will start with a training course (28.5. – 2.6.2025 near Frankfurt) where we will prepare you for your tasks as a workcamp coordinator. Between the workcamps you will work on the follow-up of the finished workcamp and prepare the next one. For sure, you will have time to recover as well.
What we offer
good preparation and support for your service
