Project Overview
Join a meaningful volunteering experience in Prešov, Slovakia, where your time and energy can make a genuine difference. This project takes place at the NGO Barlička (Little Crutch), which works with young adults with disabilities and senior citizens, many of whom use wheelchairs.
As a volunteer, you will help organise engaging and fun daily summer camp activities, including trips, games, competitions, and workshops. Your support will bring joy and companionship to people who benefit greatly from positive social interaction. On the first full day of the project, you will participate in a training session about wheelchair assistance and receive an introduction to the needs and backgrounds of the centre’s clients. The program planning will take place together with camp leaders on 19 July.
No special experience is needed—only motivation, empathy, and a willingness to help. Volunteers will be guided and supported by the professional staff of the centre throughout the camp.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–12:00 and 13:00–15:30
Impact: By participating in this project, you contribute to reducing inequality (UN Sustainable Development Goal 10).
