Introduction
The youth center primarily engages with students from Muhu Basic School, aged 7–16, while targeting all young people on the island aged 7–26. However, the majority of daily visitors are children between the ages of 7–12. Much of the center’s work focuses on teaching social skills and supporting the development of social-emotional competencies among these young individuals. A volunteer at the youth center will play an active role in its daily operations. This includes interacting with the young visitors, encouraging their participation in various activities, and initiating activities of their own. The youth work often involves engaging with young people from diverse social backgrounds, some of whom may face challenges. Volunteers can make a positive impact by fostering a sense of inclusion and supporting their growth through conversations, non-formal education methods, and games such as board games, video games, or group activities. The youth center also features a well-equipped music studio, which volunteers are welcome to use for creating and hosting music-related activities. Additionally, volunteers have the chance to contribute to planning and organizing events for the community, as well as initiating and carrying out their own projects. This role provides a meaningful opportunity to engage with the local youth and help build a vibrant and supportive community.

Muhu Island is a peaceful and picturesque rural area known for its rich cultural heritage and close-knit community. While the island thrives during the warmer months with various activities, winters are quieter, offering an opportunity to enjoy a slower pace of life and embrace creativity.
