Project Concept and Methodology

This project offers a unique and innovative experience that merges art and therapeutic methods to create a safe space for the exploration of gender identity.

Why art?
Art provides an accessible and powerful medium to express complex thoughts and emotions, often enabling self-reflection and insight where words alone may fall short.

Who is it for?
The project welcomes individuals interested in exploring their personal relationship with gender through creative and inclusive activities, regardless of previous artistic experience.

What to expect?
Participants will engage in structured workshops, artistic techniques, guided discussions, and reflective practices designed to promote personal development and mutual understanding.

Project Objectives

  • To create an inclusive and supportive environment for open dialogue

  • To share effective practices, tools, and experiences related to gender and youth work

  • To raise awareness about gender identity and the challenges faced by young people

  • To equip youth workers with creative tools that can be applied in their professional contexts

  • To encourage personal and professional development through artistic engagement

Participant Profile

Participants should meet the following criteria:

  • Be 18 years of age or older

  • Be actively involved in youth work or related fields (e.g. youth workers, educators, trainers, counsellors, youth leaders, project managers)

  • Have a good understanding of the social realities and challenges faced by young people, particularly those from marginalised groups

  • Have an interest in art and creative expression (e.g. visual arts, music, dance, theatre, photography), though prior artistic experience is not a requirement

  • Be motivated to explore gender identity and contribute meaningfully to the project and their local communities
