Activity description
Every year INEX-SDA organizes over 30 international voluntary workcamps across the Czech Republic where a group of local and foreign volunteers support ecological, social or cultural-historical community projects. By organising international voluntary projects, educational programs and campaigns we assist to the development of a tolerant and open society and encourage an active and responsible approach to the world around us both locally and globally. We create space in which people can gain new experience, expand their skills and develop their own views of the complexity of the world around them. The volunteer will join the incoming programme and will assist with organization of the workcamps in the Czech Republic.
The anticipated tasks:
– communication with partner organisations
– communication with incoming volunteers
– presentation of INEX-SDA
– leading of workcamps
– organizing of events
– taking active part in trainings and seminars
– opportunity to develop own project
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will live in a flat in Prague. The accommodation will be located in reachable distance from the office (by the public transport) . Volunteer will get monthly food allowance. Volunteer will receive public transport card.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will have full support from our staff. The volunteer will be also supported by local mentor. Volunteer can participate in trainings and seminars organized by INEX-SDA – this way s/he can develop their communication and presentation skills, learn about volunteering in Global South and develop skills related to leading group of international volunteers. Moreover, in this project there are occasions, in which volunteers are supposed to acquire the methods of non-formal education and be self-confident to use them also after the ESC project.
Participant profile
Our project is open to anyone with an interest in our activities and projects and a strong motivation in becoming an active member of our team. We welcome open minded and flexible person with willingness to learn and invest own energy and ideas into the common goals and eventually develop their own project. It is appreciated to be able to work independently as well as in a team. Volunteer should be prepared that a lot of work is of administrative character and not always in the field. Previous experiences with volunteering, involvement in the NGO sector can be valuable but is not requested.
