Host of the activity: 

MS Denmark (Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke) was founded during World War II to help people in need.

Their most important aim is to keep those dreams alive – and to support activists, social movements, organizations and networks so that they can fight oppression and violence.

 

Gnist Festival camp 2023 –

Gnist Festival is a music and art festival, that shines a light on the art of young people. The festival is made by the young and for the young. It is a two-day festival with a lot of
music acts, art exhibitions, and many other activities like community dance, techno yoga, short films, and more. We value the spirit of the youth, culture, music, and all other
forms of art.

Work in the camp: 

Festival preparations – There will be quite a lot of variety in the work tasks. In the first few days, we will need to transform the open area (in which the festival is held) into a festival with a food court, two stages, and a lot of decoration.

Festival days –  The volunteers will get a schedule with 2 x 4-hour shifts.

Remarks –

No special documentation is necessary.

No language requirements.

Build-it festival camp 2023 –

The Build-It Festival is a unique and interesting event that combines hands-on building activities with a focus on sustainability and environmental awareness. In addition to the building activities, the festival also features music and concerts, workshops, talks, and camping by the sea.

The aim of the Work Camp is to help create the best possible Build-it Festival.

Day 1-12: During this period, the volunteers will be setting up the festival by sorting wood, moving materials around, and making signs and decorations for the festival.

Day 13-18: During this week, the festival will take place. You will be working in different areas of responsibility.

Day 20-23: During this week, you will be taking the festival apart, and cleaning up the festival area.

Remarks:

English will be the only language spoken.

Please also bring appropriate working shoes and clothes both indoors and outdoors.

Alive Festival camp 2023 – 

Alive Festival is where excellent music meets locally produced beers and food in magnificent natural settings. The music festival is set in a mix of urban and forest surroundings. 2023 is the 15th time Alive Festival will take place. Since 2009, the festival has developed from a small and locally known festival to an acclaimed festival welcoming 2500 guests and 550 volunteers.

Work in the camp:

They need your help to build the festival and take it down, therefore you will work before and after the festival.

You will be part of a team of volunteers building the festival. It is manual work, and it will be an advantage with knowledge of tools, but it is not required.

Your tasks will change from day to day, where you might help set up a stage one day, build a bar the next or carry fences.

Remarks:

To participate in this Work Camp, we require you to provide: a motivational letter; travel information.

English will be the only language spoken.

Bring warm clothes that are fit for outdoor work and might get dirty.
