Compagnons Bâtisseurs works for the improvement of housing conditions of people who are facing social and economic issues. The staff of the organisation directly helps people to renovate their homes, and organises collective workshops with the inhabitants in order to share knowledge about repairing, energy saving, DIY, etc. The purpose of the activities is not only to carry out technical work, but also to build strong links and a trustful relation between the association and the inhabitants, in order to allow further cooperation.
The volunteer will be involved in technical work such as painting, plumbing, electricity works and he will also participate in the workshop’s activities (building wooden furniture, making natural household products, etc). When some additional activities are being implemented by the association during hosting time, the volunteer will have the opportunity to get involved too.
