Õppereisil 26.10-31.10 osalejad õpivad tundma Gruusia organisatsioonide erinevaid tavasid, mis demonstreerivad erinevaid viise noorte osalemise edendamiseks avalike ruumide (ümber) korraldamisel.
The programme includes introduction in concept and specifics of the hosting organisation’s activity, visits to other organisations and meetings with youth groups, supported by them, joint debriefing and reflection on professional level of mentioned above experience by all of participants of the study visit.
Thus, the participants not only get information from the visiting organisations, but also experience their approach, have chance to see its impact for end-users and share their thoughts concerning that.
Profile of the participants
– youth workers / educators, directly involved in practical work with youth on the regular bases (as
professionals or volunteers),
– interested in the topic: Involving young people in participatory urban development,
– at least 18 years old.
Expectations from the participants
– involvement in all programme activities (mandatory);
– active involvement in discussions, reflections and debriefing of the visits and work-shops as a
contribution in analysis of the topic;
– short written feedback on the practices, they learned during the study visit, provided in two weeks,
following the study visit;
– further dissemination of their learning outcomes among other youth workers and young people through their daily work and report about that to the organisers.
The project ́s idea is to promote youth participation and this study visit allows youth workers and
educators to develop their awareness in this field and – further – to empower the young people they
The study visit aims to raise youth workers ́ awareness of participatory urban development issues,
importance of public involvement in solution of everyday urban problems and youth participation in these processes.
The participants of the study visit will learn about different projects and practices of several Georgian organisations, which demonstrate different ways of promoting youth participation through involvement young people in processes of (re)organising public spaces.
This also will help to understand a role of such spaces in civil society development and engaging young people in it.
The discussions, which will be organised in the frames of the study visit will provide to the participants an opportunity to reflect on their own practices through prisms of youth participation and dealing with public or their organisations ́spaces.
The activity will be based on non-formal education approach using interactive educational methods and field visits.
The study visit will be organized in Georgia, on 26-30 October 2021, which includes five full
working days and two travel days (25.10 – arrival, 31.10 – departure), with participation of 16 youth
workers – from Estonia, Georgia, Germany and Ukraine.
Since many flights arrive to Tbilisi in night or early morning, it is possible that many participants will arrive only on 26.10 morning.
The participants will be accommodated in twin rooms.
Working language is English.
All costs connected with participation in the programme are covered by the organisers.
Accommodation (in twin rooms), meals and transfers on the place are provided by the organisers.
Travel costs to Tbilisi and back will be reimbursed to the participants by bank transfers withing two weeks after the end of the study visit.
Prerequisites for that are: participation in the whole programme, preliminary agreement with the
organizers of tickets to Tbilisi as well as provision of printed tickets, boarding passes (to Tbilisi) and signed reimbursement form.
The participants are responsible for having relevant health travel insurance, valid in Georgia for the
whole period of the study visit.
The tickets should be bought by 19st of October.
