Tahad olla osa rahvusvahelisest kogukonnast aga ei soovi kaugele minna? Või tahad enne välismaal projektis osalemist end koduriigis proovile panna?
Otsime kaht Eesti noort osalema rahvusvahelisel ESKi grupiteenistusel Soomaal Tipu Looduskoolis!
Project
Tipu Nature School is a non-profit organization working in the field of nature and environmental education. We offer environmental education programs to schools and kindergartens, organize children and youth camps and offer workshops and hikes. The organization has two employees, active members and 2-4 long-term volunteers working to sustain the place, organize events and develop new activities.
We are situated in Estonia between the cities of Viljandi and Pärnu in Soomaa National Park. Soomaa National Park has been established for the protection of large bogs, flooded meadows, forests and heritage culture in the south-western part of Central Estonia. The National Park extends on a 400 sq km area, which is largely untouched by human activity. The Estonian name of Soomaa National Park (Land of Bogs) refers to the fact that bogs with paludified meadows and swamp forests make up 80 per cent of its territory.

Work
We offer a wide range of activities to our volunteers – mostly in the field of maintenance and development of the visitor site and the local hiking trail but also related to nature conservation in the National Park area.
The working time each day will be approximately 6-7 full hours which can vary depending on the daily leisure activities and weather conditions. Most of these activities will take place outdoors, but we will take weather conditions into account. The work will be supervised by the head of the organisation and one long-term volunteer.
Possible works will be:
- Garden works and maintaining of attractions, signs and information boards on hiking trail and Nature School grounds
- Taking care of animals (goats, chicken, ducks, rabbits), making hay, preparing food for winter
- Building works with wood and clay, restoring room in schoolhouse
- Cutting bushes
Accommodation
The accommodation is simple, on mattresses on the floor of our small village house and in group-tents outside. There is one small bathroom inside with a shower, elsewhere there are compost toilets and a solar shower outside. There is a washing machine. We will be cooking our own food throughout the camp. The group leader will compile the menu and buy the groceries for the first days, afterwards the participants can make own plans what to cook and groceries will be bought accordingly.
Getting to Tipu
Arrival day 20th August, departure on 4th September. More concrete time will be specified when the time comes closer.
We will pick up participants from Viljandi in the afternoon/evening of the arrival day. You can get to Viljandi from Tallinn by bus or by train. Timetables for buses within Estonia are available online at www.tpilet.ee

Leisure time
For the free time there is a fireplace, a guitar, board games, the river for going swimming close by. We also plan a canoe trip on the weekend. Elsewhere there is the possibility to visit either the cities of Viljandi and Pärnu by (local) bus transport.
This camp is perfect for people who enjoy being close to the nature.
